Realtors James C. (Jim) Manatt, Jr. and Marilyn Manatt. Marilyn leads the family team in experience with 21 years as a New Mexico Realtor, Jim with 15 years in the industry. Jim has additional experience as a real estate salesman for his family company El Dorado Land Corporation, the developer of a golf course residential subdivision in Cloudcroft, NM earlier in his career. He also engages in upstream oil & gas and power generation ventures. Both are members of the Roswell Association of Realtors multiple listing service, the New Mexico Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
The Manatt’s have lived, worked and raised their family in Roswell for 40 years. Marilyn is a past City Councilor with extensive community network. She focuses on residential real estate sales and marketing, having listed and/or sold more than 100 properties for the famous, including Roswell’s famed golfer Nancy Lopez, lawyers, doctors, accountants, business people, as well as new families, first home buyers and single buyers and sellers. She is a student of feng shui, the oriental art of simplification and beauty, as it applies to helping her clients make their properties most appealing and compelling. Marilyn attended both New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico. The couple has 3 grown children, all living in Roswell, with 2 young twin grandchildren. Her favorite real estate story is about her client who told her “I will eat a bug if you sell my home for asking price.” She did. Promptly. She didn’t make him eat a bug but she did have some fun with it!
Jim focuses on commercial real estate, holding a Qualifying Broker real estate license his entire real estate licensed career, also with an extensive community network. Jim has helped buyers and sellers in large and small transactions including churches, restaurants, film studios, warehouses, retail, commercial construction, medical offices, bus stations, industrial parks as well as overseeing residential listings and sales. His work includes commercial development in Economic Opportunity Zones, certified industrial parks and general commercial property. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, a Distinguished Alumnus of New Mexico State University and was honored to return to his Alma Mater as Chairman of the NMSU Board Of Regents. He is Past President, Roswell Symphony Orchestra. On the oil & gas side, he is Past President, Roswell Geological Society and a member of upstream industry professional societies. He is a Past Chairman, New Mexico First and a Founding Director of Spaceport America. He started his career as an Army Military Intelligence Officer in the Vietnam era.
